Come and create your own large 50cm (approx) resin artwork and 2 coasters. Design an abstract artwork with your own colour choice. All materials are provided. You will be working on a round or square board with a plant derived resin (see details at the bottom on how this is greener than traditional petroleum based resin). It is crystal clear with excellent UV stability. You will learn how to mix pigment into the resin and apply it to a primed circular or square board. You will also be able to use transparent and opaque pigments alongside metallic colours and powders. You will also be shown how to create the high gloss finish top with a heat gun.

At Hazy Tales we run an eco friendly studio and have invested in solar power and use eco friendly soaps, washing liquid and detergent. We also have a septic tank which pumps and treats water without energy or chemicals.

One of the resins that we use at Hazy Tales Studio is partially derived from bio-based resources, reducing the carbon footprint when compared to traditional epoxy resins. Greenhouse Gas emissions are reduced by 33% over conventional petroleum based epoxies. Petroleum based carbon is replaced with renewable plant-based carbon. The raw materials going into the resins are co-products or waste products of other industrially important processes. These materials do not compete with food sources or displace food-based agriculture.

You can produce work that is not only beautifully created but also environmentally friendly and socially responsible.
